The Forecast is for Fun
Lauchlin O’Sullivan, Scott Putnam and Team Lucas Oil motor to Michigan for the first rally of the 2011 season
ATLANTA, MI. (January 28, 2011) The actual weather forecast calls for temps in the 20’s and snow for the start of the 2011 Sno*Drift Rally on Friday, the event that also kicks off the entire 2011 RallyCar stage rally season. Fun is also in the forecast, even if it’s mixed in with a slight amount of anxiety owing to the crazy conditions and unique demands this event makes of drivers and their cars, including the Lucas Oil-sponsored Subaru driven by Lauchlin O’Sullivan and Scott Putnam.
“I don’t get to spend as much time driving on snow and ice as most Midwesterners, so coming to Sno*Drift is always a unique experience that certainly provides a challenge for me,” says the California-born-and-bred O’Sullivan. “I have finished as high as fourth in this event overall though, so I know we are capable of a good result. I’m really looking forward to starting the season.”
